Q: How big do Maine Coons get?
A: Maine Coons are the largest domestic cats. They grow until 3-5 years of age. The average male Maine Coon weighs between 15-25 pounds and the average female weighs between 10-15 pounds. We at ZenCattery do not guarantee size, but our adults are of good size which is a good indicator of the offspring size. Sterilized Maine Coon males and females often weigh more than intact Maine Coons. |

Q: Can we visit the kittens in person?
A: Due to the health of our cats and kittens, we do not allow the public into our home. Kittens do not have fully developed immune systems and allowing people in could potentially jeopardize the health of our babies by bringing in illness or diseases prior to having all of their immunizations. |

Q: What age do the kitten’s go home?
A: Our kittens are typically ready to go to their new homes around 13-14 weeks of age. |

Q: What kind of litter boxes do you use?
A: We have litter robots that all the kittens are introduced to and use. We also have large stainless steel litter boxes. |

Q: How do kittens do with dogs?
A: We do not personally have any dogs, but many of our kittens have gone to homes with dogs, and they get along well. |

Q: How do kittens do with kids?
A: Maine Coons get along great with kids. If you have kids in the house, they will often be your kitten’s 'person'. |

Q: What is your reservation process?
A: To reserve a kitten/get on the waiting list, you will be sent a contract. Once we receive the signed contract back, along with a 10% deposit, the kitten is reserved. Kittens are picked based on the order we receive deposits. |

A: Yes they are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) |

Q: What supplies are needed for Maine Coons?
A: We recommend a water fountain, cat tree, good quality brushes, many toys and lots of love. |
